Original Items. Only One Group Available. This is a lovely basic WWI soldiers uniform grouping consisting of a uniform jacket, overcoat, M1917 Helmet, overseas cap, puttees. A fantastic set of gear to fill out a mannequin!
The jacket has US & Infantry collar discs and Corporals chevrons on the right sleeve. The interior lining is fair, and this looks like an example that didnt see much wartime use.
The overcoat is heavily worn and marked R.S. 126 on the interior, a marking were unfamiliar with. It is missing several buttons on the front, all of which are in one of the pockets and could be resewn.
The M1917 Helmet retains its liner and chinstrap without much serious wear. Its stamped ZJ292 indicating that its an American-made helmet. The overseas cap may be French-made and retains its sweatband.
There is also a small studio portrait photo in the group of a solider, but it likely was added to the group and is just there for display. The puttees are in great shape and are tied up with black string.
